| This is a photo of my brother Paul and I standing near where Malcolm Lowry's shack was located. Shortly before completion of the novel, the shack burned to the ground. Lowry dashed into the flames in a panic but failed to retrieve his manuscript. He had to write the entire, intricate novel from scratch. |
